Energica Experia : The Electric Adventure-Tourer

Adventure-Tourer bikes have been influencing people for the last 15 years and electric motorcycles are behind it, growing at a faster rate than any other category. Manufacturing an electric adventure-touring motorbike is itself a very bold move, and the two-wheeler Energica Experia's convincing attempt had created a battery-powered machine that really matches ICE-powered competitors in terms of performance, weight and range.

Known by the name "German Tourer" the Experia is an adventure-styled packing of the latest battery and electric motor technology that has been gained through MotoE racing. Adventure-tourer's primary purpose has always been to carry one or two people with their luggage to their Idyllic destination.

What is the Performance of Energica Experia?

The beating heart of the electric tourer includes a 306-volt permanent magnet synchronous reluctance motor which produces 102 horsepower with 85 pound-feet of torque at 7500 rpm. The power and performance of this electric two-wheeler are more than enough for a touring bike which can pull over mountain passes, and hairpin turnings and gives a joyful ride in the low-speed torque also.

Though the motor is arranged as a counter-rotating element, it reduces some of its own inertia to pull the front wheel down for better traction. The battery and motor are the recent generations which are lighter and placed below the frame for low-down the centre of gravity and produce a top speed of 112mph.

Energica Experia is described as a new "PMASynRM" design which is a combination of a Synchronous Reluctance Motor and a Permanent Magnet design, aiming to get the positive of both the design. With no gears and clutch, the continuous climb through any terrain is a doddle for this Experia. Just twist and go. This makes the ride less fatiguing and easy to concentrate on.

Though you get various power modes, in throttle response you only need to reduce the drain on the battery and add engine breaking through various regeneration processes. This performance-based electric adventure-tourer bike comes in terms both financially and in terms of range too.

The windscreen is ventilated and adjustable, and behind the glass, there are two USB ports and a waterproof glove box that can be used underway. Beneath the windscreen, a 5-inch colour TFT display manages both instrumental matrix and ride-control electronics for the rider's interface.
